2018 Conference on the Development of Business Journalism and Corporate Communication Education in Mainland, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong

2 and 3 November 2018

The 2018 Conference on the Development of Business Journalism and Corporate Communication Education in Mainland, Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong, co-organised by the Centre for Greater China Studies (CGCS) and the School of Communication (SCOM), was successfully held on 2 and 3 November 2018 at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK).

The theme of this year is “Media Revolution and Communication Education in the Digital Era”. Well-established scholars and seasoned professionals from the cross-strait areas and academic staff of SCOM and CGCS gathered together to share thoughts and exchange experiences. A total of four panel discussion sessions were held, namely “New Challenges of Higher Education in Journalism”, “Post-Truth Politics and Journalism”, “Communication and Development of Corporate Communication in Greater China Area” and “New Business Model for Media and Communication Technology”, which enabled insightful interactions among all participants.

Through academic discussions and intellectual exchanges in the two-day conference, personal friendships and institutional networks between HSUHK and renowned Communication Schools, media organisations and business professionals from the cross-strait areas were brought to new heights.
