The School of Communication held the “Documentary Screening and Director Sharing Session” on 23 January 2019. Five documentaries that participated in “The 11th Chinese Documentary Festival” were shown, namely “The Girl”, “Confronts”, “Areca”, “A Floating Life”, and “Siu Kee Bike”. Nathaniel Wong, director of “A Floating Life” and Eric Cheng, director of “Siu Kee Bike” were invited to the screening and sharing session to share with the audience their experience of producing the documentaries. During the Q&A session, students, especially those aspiring to work in the film industry, were eager to ask the two directors for tips regarding documentary production. Not only were participating staff and students deeply inspired by the work of the local directors, they also gained a much thorough understanding of documentary production in Hong Kong.
Ms Glacial Cheng, Senior Lecturer of the School of Communication, was the MC of the screening and sharing session.
