A delegation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) visited the School of Communication (SCOM) on May 12, 2023. The delegation, led by Professor Yang Li, Dean of the Graduate School, Professor Hou Yingzhong, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication (SJC) and other representatives of GDUFS received a warm welcome from Professor Ronald Chiu, Associate Dean, Dr. Howard Song, Dr. James Chang, Dr. Clio Wu and other representatives of SCOM.
The opportunity of deepening collaboration by launching joint training programmes, exchanges programmes for students and teachers, as well as offering customized courses were explored. The meeting achieved positive and fruitful results. Professor Hou Yingzhong invited Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of SCOM, to lead a delegation for a reciprocal visit to the SJC of GDUFS to further strengthen the collaboration between the two Schools.
After the meeting, the delegation visited various facilities of SCOM for teaching and learning, including the Multimedia Training Centre, Radio Broadcast Training Centre and the SCOM Cinema and TV Production Centre.
The delegation of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) visited the School of Communication (SCOM) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.
The representatives of the two Schools had a meeting on collaboration.
