Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of the School of Communication at HSUHK, signed a College-level memorandum with Taiwan National Chengchi University on 13 October 2023, opening a new chapter for future exchanges and cooperation between the two institutions. In the future, both parties will strive to promote mutual visits and exchanges between teachers and students, and conduct extensive cooperation in research and other fields related to news and communication.
In her speech, Dean Scarlet Tso said that the College of Communication at National Chengchi University has demonstrated brilliant achievements in academic research and talent cultivation over the years, which is worthy of reference for the School of Communication at HSUHK. This time the two academies can sign an MOU to cooperate and jointly promote teacher-student exchanges and academic research, which is indeed a mutually beneficial and win-win move.
In her speech, Professor Chen Yining, Dean of the College of Communication at National Chengchi University, not only welcomed Professor Tso to come to Taiwan to attend the opening ceremony of the Li Zhan Lecture Hall, but also thanked Professor Tso for taking this opportunity to sign the MOU, laying a good foundation for future cooperation between the two schools. Dean Chen praised the development of School of Communication at HSUHK in business communication and communication technology over the years, and the two parties will strive to cooperate in all aspects in the future.
The signing ceremony between the two parties was witnessed by the teachers and students from the College of Communication of NCCU and professors from Tamkang University and Mingchuan University.
In recent years, the School of Communication of HSUHK has actively expanded cooperation with well-known universities in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. So far, it has signed MOUs with many universities in mainland China such as Fudan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Tsinghua University, Communication University of China, Jinan University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics, as well as universities in Taiwan such as National Taiwan University, Fu Jen University, and Shi Hsin University.
