A delegation from Taiwan’s Chinese Education, Culture and Economy Promotion Association and Hong Kong Cross-strait Hakka Research Center visited the School of Communication

A seven-member delegation from the above two institutions led by President Dr. Chang King-Yun visited the School of Communication (SCOM) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong on 8 June.  On behalf of Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of SCOM, and all colleagues, Professor Ronald Chiu, Acting Dean of SCOM, expressed his warm welcome and introduced the development of the University and SCOM.

Professor Chiu said that SCOM provides unique interdisciplinary programmes which integrate the training in the areas of journalism, corporate communication, business and communication technology, coupled with novel teaching equipment, so that students can learn the latest communication knowledge and skills during school, and can meet the needs of the market after graduation. Dr. Chang King-Yun and Ms. Lin Jingjing, Chairman of the Hakka Research Center and other guests expressed their high appreciation for the teaching quality and student learning environment of SCOM.

The delegation was then accompanied by Professor Chiu, Associate Professor Dr. James Chang, Assistant Professor Dr. Sammy Hu and Senior Manager Ms. Carmen Ko to visit the Film and Television Production Centre, Radio Recording Studio, Editing Room, Multimedia Training Centre and Broadcasting Training Centre of SCOM. All members were impressed by the novel facilities of SCOM.
