ChatGPT is becoming increasingly popular, and the education sector is yet to determine a unified approach towards allowing students to use ChatGPT. The founder of Bull. B Tech, Stark Chan Yik-hei, known as “Son of the Star,” expressed that the prominence of ChatGPT is an irreversible trend. In tech job interviews, having a knowledge of how to use ChatGPT could influence their recruitment decision: “For example, if we in the tech industry receive a job applicant for an interview, we would ask how they usually use ChatGPT. If they say they don’t typically use it, we might not choose to recruit them because I feel their efficiency might increase a lot if they know how to utilize it. If they don’t know how to use it, they might be hardworking, but they can’t achieve more with less.”
