Mr. Roger LEE Chak Cheong, General Manager of KMB :
Never Seen Railways as Competitors
Actively Advocating for the Government to Set Up More Public Facilities at Bus Transfer Stations and Terminals
The mass transportation policy in Hong Kong is implemented with railways as the backbone, while buses and other transportation play an auxiliary role. In the interview with “The Talk Show” of the School of Communication, Mr. Roger LEE Chak Cheong, General Manager of KMB, stated, “A spine requires muscles,” and openly said that he has never seen railways as competitors.
Mr Lee believed that the biggest challenge currently faced by KMB is the aging population and a decrease in public travel. He also revealed that KMB is actively lobbying the government to set up more public facilities at bus transfer stations and bus terminals.
