Hong Kong Disneyland: Not worried about competition with the mainland
” World of Frozen” attracts mainland and overseas tourists, believed to drive Hong Kong’s tourism economy
The trend of Hong Kong residents traveling to the mainland for consumption has become prevalent. Some believe that one of the reasons is that the service attitude in the mainland is better than in Hong Kong. Colin Chang, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Benefits at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, stated that Disney’s service level has its own standards and is not worried about competing with the mainland. The opening of the “World of Frozen” park area has also attracted many mainland and overseas visitors to Hong Kong, believed to help drive Hong Kong’s tourism economy.
For university graduates interested in joining Disney, Chang believes that the most important requirement is to have an adventurous and inquisitive spirit. He also advised young people that the most important thing when entering the workforce is to be true to themselves: “If you deliberately pretend to be someone else in order to get a job, you will also suffer every day in the work environment as a result.”
