The Consumer Rights Reporting Awards, organised by the Consumer Council, aims to celebrate and promote journalistic excellence in consumer rights issues. A total of 471 entries were received from 46 media organisations and higher education institutions this year. Among them, the entry submitted by a team of students from the Bachelor of Journalism and Communication (Honours) won the Gold Award in the Tertiary Student Journalism Award category.
