On the afternoon of 9 May 2025, a 26-member delegation led by Professor Zhang Jinsheng, Dean of the School of Digital Communication at Guangzhou Huashang College, visited the School of Communication. They were warmly received by Dean Professor Scarlet Tso, Associate Dean (Enterprise and Business Engagement) Professor Ronald Chiu, Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) Professor James Chang, and several faculty representatives.
Professor Scarlet Tso warmly welcomed Dean Zhang Jinsheng and his delegation, engaging in open discussions on potential future collaborations. She expressed her hope that the two institutions could build a long-term cooperative platform, deepening their existing exchanges in research, teaching, and other academic endeavors. Associate Dean Professor James Chang provided an overview of the University’s and the School of Communication’s development, highlighting the distinctive features of its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, teaching methodologies, research projects, as well as student learning and employment. He and Assistant Professor Clio Wu, the Programme Director, then guided the guests on a tour of the School’s facilities.
Dean Zhang Jinsheng noted that the two Schools share a strong foundation for collaboration in new media communication, with potential for deeper cooperation in curriculum development, student admission, and faculty training. The deans actively discussed specific collaborative approaches and reached preliminary agreements.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the School of Communication’s teaching facilities and the university campus.
